New members joining Townsville Target Archers will be required to attend a “Safe Shooting” held every Saturday between 1.45pm and 4.00pm at Townsville Target Archers prior to being able to attend and shoot independently.

New members who are also new to archery will be able to receive ongoing coaching and support in their archery journey from our club coaches on an ongoing basis by attending our weekly coaching sessions held every Saturday between 1.45pm and 4.00pm.

Shoot Fees / Shoot Pass

After joining Townsville Target Archers are there any ongoing costs?

Yes – to attend the club and shoot arrows; you are required to pay a Shoot Fee of $10.00 per person per session.

Shoot Fees cover the costs associated with shooting arrows – that is, they cover costs of replacing target faces and replacement / repair of target butts.

A Shoot Pass is also available that allows you to attend and shoot arrows during official club opening hours for one annual fee.

Come and Try Archery

Archery is a sport for everyone no matter your ability or skill level!

Townsville Target Archers “Come and Try Archery” is an immersive introductory experience designed for those who would like to try archery in a safe and supported environment. Sessions run from 1.45pm to 4.00pm usually on the first Saturday afternoon of each month (please check dates carefully in event name). Registration is transferrable to a future date if notice is given by email to tta@nqaa.org.auprior to the closing time of registration. Registrations close at 5pm on the Wednesday immediately prior to the “Come and Try Archery” event.
